Joe Bonamassa Honors B.B. King with New Tribute Album
Joe Bonamassa has unveiled the third volume of his tribute series, titled B.B. King's Blues Summit 100, Vol. III, commemorating what would have been B.B. King's 100th birthday. Released through KTBA Records, this five-track collection features collaborations that highlight the enduring influence of the legendary blues artist. Notable tracks include "Sweet Little Angel" featuring Buddy Guy, and "Heartbreaker" with Trombone Shorty and Eric Gales.
One of the most anticipated collaborations is "The Thrill Is Gone," featuring Chaka Khan and Eric Clapton, set to be included in the full album releasing on February 6th. The lead single, "Sweet Little Angel," is accompanied by a music video blending archival footage of B.B. King with live performances.
Produced by Bonamassa and co-producer Josh Smith, this project aims to celebrate King's legacy and keep the spirit of blues alive. The series will continue with monthly releases through February 2026, culminating in a comprehensive 32-track album supported by the B.B. King Estate.
